How do I know if I have Insomnia?

You’d think it would be pretty easy to diagnose insomnia, based on insomnia symptoms but it’s very possible you’ve got so used to not sleeping properly it’s hard to tell what’s normal and what’s not.

Rest assured that there’s plenty of options to help you get a good night’s sleep, but understanding what’s keeping you awake will enable you to make changes so you can awaken your best night’s sleep.

Signs of insomnia

Here are some signs of insomnia1 that people complain of. Ask yourself these questions and be honest, we won’t judge. If you tick several of these boxes, it may help indicate that insomnia is keeping you up at night.

Do you have trouble falling asleep

Do you often wake up during the night

Do you often wake up too early

Do you not feel well-rested after a night’s sleep

Do you feel tired or sleepy during the day

Do you feel irritable, depressed or stressed out

Do you have difficulty paying attention, focusing on tasks or remembering things

Are you making more mistakes or having accidents
